Community Alert – Wolds Villages - Homeless Male

Community Alert – Wolds Villages - Homeless Male

Good Morning Wolds Villagers.

To raise awareness,  Humberside Police are requesting residents remain vigilant when out and about, following reports of a homeless male who is known to travel between villages in the Wolds area and has previously been reported knocking on residents’ doors late at night asking for food, drink or other assistance.

Yesterday, an incident involving an elderly male occurred in Barnoldby, in which the individual is suspected of being involved in.   Enquiries are ongoing, and no conclusions should be drawn at this stage.

Residents are advised to keep doors secure, exercise caution when answering the door to unfamiliar individuals - particularly late at night - and report any concerns or suspicious behaviour to the Police via 101 or if a crime is ongoing via 999.

Anyone who witnesses an incident or has information that may assist police is asked to contact police via the appropriate channels.

Thank you for your continued support in keeping our communities safe.

Best Regards
